Dover Grammar School for Boys is a selective school with a school roll of 800 students. Approximately 200 of these are in the Sixth Form. Girls are admitted to the Sixth Form.


Student Welfare Officer

Required for september 2017

KR4 FTE £16,968 - £17,826 (Pro rata 39 weeks)

We are looking to appoint a student welfare officer to provide excellent pastoral support to our students. The role can be hugely rewarding and would suit someone who enjoys working with children and has excellent communication skills.

This is an exciting time to join DGSB. Last summer, we achieved our best GCSE results ever and the most recent OFSTED report confirmed that we are a very good school and are firmly on our way to outstanding. This year, we will also be embarking on the first stage of a major re-development project as part of the Priority Schools Building Programme. This will enable us to design a brand new learning environment with facilities that provide an exceptional education for our students.

Learning Support Supervisor

Required for september 2017

KR4 FTE £16,968 - £17,826 (Pro rata 35 hours per week, 38 weeks per year)

We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Supervisor to work as part of the teaching and supervising teams at DGSB on a temporary contract until 31 August 2018. The role can be hugely rewarding and would suit someone who enjoys working with children and has excellent communication skills. In-school experience is essential for those wishing to enrol in Teacher Training programmes, and so this role would be ideal for candidates considering a career in teaching. DGSB has an excellent Teacher Training programme which has been praised by OFSTED and Canterbury Christ Church University.This is an exciting time to join DGSB.
